Here it is – a countdown til spring. From now until the first day of spring, I will post ways to make the dreary days of midwinter a little more merry.
Day 9: Put homemade preserves on your pancakes.
I way underestimated breakfast the other day. I make these pancakes all the time – they’re my favorite. I brought up a jar of blackberry preserves that I made this summer without really giving it much thought besides thinking it’d make a good topping. And then, I was instantly transported back to summer with the first bite. It was amazing. Delicious, yes, but mostly because it tasted like summer and I really need that right now.
